update 5 :

The Project EG went to Killarney Night Drags 7/9/07, instead of going to Saldanha...

Heres the report from Hayden,

10 runs...and had to abort 11th run after burnout ....could not get reverse....only 3rd gear....but managed to get gears after some mods...
I must say that traction was good....but my car was bouncing right thru 1st & 2nd gear....
and everybody pulled me off the line while i was bouncing up and down...
i never thought launching this car could be so hard...
on my 14.1 and 14.2 runs i had good launches, and fucked up else where...so i'm pretty confident i will be in the 13's next event.
i'm still so happy that i drove my car home after 10 hard runs
i also ran 4 x 14.3's and 2 14.2's and 1 x 14.5 and my slowest of 14.7...

update 4:

so the dyno tune session came up. and we all smell like fumez!! 170kw atf, and 204Nm! lets hope this translates well to the track/street. Vid coming soon

update 3:

first dyno tune coming up soon

next track day 9th aug.

update 2:

With the B18 dropped in, and street tuned, the car was taken once again to the track. On the first run, Hayden was able to pull off a 14.8 from the lil hatch. This been his official 2nd run at the drag strip, left hope for more. One the 2nd run, his nerves got to him and he managed a 15.2 vs a Lumina SS. On the third run, bad news occured, and a driveshaft snapped on the launch.

update 1:

Took part at Killarney - Unfortuanately there was a drop in oil pressure going down the track [on the 1st run]. The driver/car ran a 15.1 on there first outing ever to killarney.

But as we stated, oil pressure drop = spun bearing...step aside b16 and embrace yourselves for a b18!!

beginning:

it has begun...the project eg6, her engine decided to bend valves, this gave the owner, of JDMWORX the oppurtunity, to drop in his High Comp B16 engine.
